The Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Trust (AJEATT) provides high-quality training for wireman, lineman, telecommunication workers and tree-trimmer/line clearance apprentices across Alaska.
Established over 85 years ago, we strive to meet the growing demand for skilled electrical workers in the state. The trust is governed by a partnership between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). As a federally recognized apprenticeship program by the Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship, the AJEATT continues to meet not only the needs of our state's growing workforce, but surpasses industry standards by creating the best trained workers in Alaska.
Over the last 8 decades, the AJEATT has evolved to adapt to changes in technology, industry and workforce needs. Partnering with the electrical training Alliance, we are consistently updating training curricula and expanding program offerings to include multiple alternate means of entry to veterans, residents in rural Alaska and underserved populations. The AJEATT has played a significant role in supporting local communities in Alaska by providing well-trained workers who contribute to the state's ever growing infrastructure and development.

The AJEATT will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older. The AJEATT will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30.
It is against the law for a sponsor of an apprenticeship program registered for Federal purposes to discriminate against an apprenticeship applicant or apprentice based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age (40 years or older), genetic information, or disability. The sponsor must ensure equal opportunity with regard to all terms, conditions, and privileges associated with apprenticeship. If you think that you have been subjected to discrimination, you may file a complaint. Read more about your rights here.
